Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 11, 2026

Convergence Tech Inc ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Bitfab service, which includes the Bitfab web application and SDKs for TypeScript, Python, Ruby, and Go (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider (Clerk). We assign you a unique user identifier.

Trace Data

When you instrument your code with a Bitfab SDK, it sends trace data to our servers including:

  • Function inputs and outputs
  • Span metadata (timing, model, token usage)
  • Function keys and version identifiers
  • Custom context you attach to spans

Grader and Evaluation Data

When you label traces or run automated graders, we store the evaluation results, grader configurations, and any comments or annotations you provide.

API Keys

When you generate an API key, we store a cryptographic hash of the key and a display prefix. The full key is shown to you once and is not stored by us.

Usage and Diagnostic Data

We collect error reports (via Sentry) and structured logs (via Axiom) that may include your user identifier, request identifiers, and error details. We do not log trace content in these systems.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Providing the Service: We store and display your traces, run graders against them, and enable replay workflows.
  • Improving the Service: We use aggregated, de-identified usage patterns to improve product quality and reliability.
  • Error Monitoring: We use error reports and logs to diagnose and fix bugs.

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third-party providers:

  • Clerk: Handles authentication. Your name and email are managed by Clerk under their privacy policy.
  • Sentry: Receives error reports that may include your user identifier. Sentry does not receive trace content.
  • Axiom: Receives structured request logs with user identifiers and request metadata.
  • Anthropic / Google: Trace data may be sent to LLM providers when running automated graders. These providers process data under their respective API terms.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Traces, grader results, and datasets can be deleted through the web application. If you wish to delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at ankur@bitfab.ai.

5. Security

We protect your data using industry-standard practices: API keys are hashed before storage, all communication uses HTTPS/TLS, and database access is restricted by organization ownership checks on every request.

6. Your Rights

You can:

  • View all traces and evaluations through the web application
  • Delete traces, datasets, and grader results at any time
  • Revoke API keys to stop SDK data collection
  • Request a full data export or account deletion by emailing ankur@bitfab.ai

7. Children

Bitfab is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

9. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at ankur@bitfab.ai.
